Keilberth's acclaimed Ring cycle
27th February 2007
After lying in archives for half a century, Keilberth's Ring cycle recorded at the 1955 Bayreuth Festival has finally been released on CD by Testament.
The cycle documents Wieland Wagner's production of the Ring from the 1950s in a stereo recording of unusually high sound quality. It features a superlative cast, which includes Wolfgang Windgassen, Hans Hotter, and Gustav Neidlinger.
