George Frideric Handel (1685-1759)
Information about the composer George Frideric Handel and his operas.
One of the greatest composers of the 18th century, he was born in Germany but spent most of his adult life in England. He is famous for his oratorios and concerti grossi, and his operas are now enjoying a well deserved revival.
