Francesco Cavalli (1602-1676)
Information about the composer Francesco Cavalli and his operas.
An Italian composer of the early Baroque period. His real name was Pietro Francesco Caletti-Bruni, but he was known by the name of his patron, Federico Cavalli, a Venetian nobleman. He wrote 41 operas, 27 of which have survived.
