Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868)
Information about the composer Gioachino Rossini and his operas.
A prolific Italian composer. He composed more than 30 operas, and is reputed to have composed very quickly, writing his most famous opera, «E3H:Il barbiere di Siviglia», in under two weeks. Along with «1S:Gaetano Donizetti» and «BD:Vincenzo Bellini» he is considered one of the three great Bel Canto opera composers.
