Vincenzo Bellini (1801-1835)
Information about the composer Vincenzo Bellini and his operas.
Born in Sicily, Italy, Bellini was a child prodigy who wrote his first composition when he was 6. He wrote 10 operas many of which are still regularly performed. Along with «1S:Gaetano Donizetti» and «1K:Gioachino Rossini» he is considered one of the three great Bel Canto opera composers.
